What We Do:

Bay Area Custom Furniture is a full service design and fabrication workshop in Oakland, California. We work with a variety of materials, but identify primarily as woodworking experts for custom interior and exterior applications, including furniture, cabinetry, and architectural millwork.

Our Story:

From humble beginnings in a backyard driveway to an established Oakland workshop, Kyle Dunn's journey in custom woodworking has been driven by a simple truth: the Bay Area deserves furniture that perfectly fits its spaces and reflects its character.

Since 2013, we've evolved from crafting pieces for neighbors into a premier custom furniture studio, serving both residential clients and leading companies throughout the San Francisco Bay Area. Our portfolio spans intimate home built-ins, statement-making reception desks, expansive conference tables, and comprehensive interior millwork – each piece thoughtfully crafted to our clients' exact specifications.

What sets us apart is our dedication to personalization. Every project is tailored to our clients' precise needs, from dimensions and wood selection to the final finish. We take pride in sourcing quality domestic hardwoods, with a particular focus on local materials that tell a story of our region.

Our hands-on, personalized approach elevates the entire experience beyond what you'll find in high-end furniture stores. When you work with us, you're not just getting a piece of furniture – you're getting a customized solution that perfectly fits your space and vision.
